Against Bear Fukuda, Amigo kicked out after a lariat and immediately countered with Mescal. Surviving the attack gave way to a sudden three-count of his own.

Beyond the ropes.
Before an inter-promotional match in 2011, he said he wanted to win the main event and make the opposition ask for a rematch. His own words add context to the competitive stakes.[15]
Before facing Nobuhiro Kaseda on 26 May 2024, he proposed a new ring name for his opponent. After the match, he called for suggestions on social media—a glimpse of how he carries a match’s story onto the microphone.[17]
The matches. The story behind them.
Surviving Bear’s lariat, then striking with Mescal
Bear Fukuda’s heavy lariat could not keep Amigo Suzuki down for three. In their 2013 match, Amigo kicked out, then immediately rolled him up with Mescal for the comeback win. The wrestler who had been on the receiving end suddenly had his opponent pinned.
He debuted at Arena Coliseo in Mexico, initially wrestling as Chuichiro Arai. After changing his name to Amigo Suzuki, he appeared on SECRET BASE’s inaugural card. Alongside his roll-ups and submission holds, a tiger suplex hold has also won him championship gold.

From sharing the belts to competing for them
View full photograph ↗Go was both his tag championship partner and the wrestler he beat for his first singles title. Kingo Yamashita took that belt from him, but Amigo reclaimed it in their rematch the following year. Against familiar opponents, champion and challenger have traded places.
After winning the tag title with Mototsugu Shimizu, Amigo also became champion with Andy Wu. In a 2026 defence, they defeated Shimizu and Noriyuki Yoshida. The man who had once held a belt beside him was now a challenger he had turned back.

Before a match against Nobuhiro Kaseda in 2024, he suggested a name change; after the match, he called for suggestions for a new name. The next month, Kaseda announced his new name, Nobu Kaseda, then teamed with Amigo for a victory.
