HANAOKA

HANAOKA and Maori Kawashima announced that they were joining SECRET BASE on the day they won its tag championship. They defeated Mototsugu Shimizu and Men’s Teioh in 2021. The wrestler who had debuted in Mexico now joined the promotion alongside Kawashima, with one of its belts around his waist.

They defended against teams including Amigo Suzuki and Rey Paloma. The path to a singles title match against Kawashima began during a show in June 2024. Using the microphone for an event announcement, HANAOKA issued his challenge and spoke of wanting to energise Shinjuku FACE and the promotion. The title match was formally confirmed after the show.

The following month at Shinjuku FACE, HANAOKA beat Kawashima with Ore-shiki Goto-shiki. The partner with whom he had once defended a championship was now the man from whom he took the singles belt.

He also defended the singles title against VanVert Jack with the move named 俺のこの技で3カウントとれないはずがないX. Alongside Ore-shiki Goto-shiki, which had won both tag and singles championships, it became another way for HANAOKA to keep his belt.

In March 2026, a three-way title match also involving Kagura ended with Hip Hop Man pinning HANAOKA as he attempted Ore-shiki Goto-shiki. He lost the championship. In their July rematch, HANAOKA countered Hip Hop Man’s La Magistral into a winning pin. He had won the pinning exchange against the same opponent and reclaimed the belt.
