Signature moves
The Death Valley Bomb lifts an opponent onto the shoulders before dropping them. Its vertical-drop version decided the match with Shimizu for the inaugural championship.
The Death Valley Bomb is a high-impact lift-and-drop move. The results for 22 September 2015 record him winning with it followed by a pin. Watch the lift as the signal that the finish may be coming.[14][22]
Puru Puru Bear and Final Flash are also listed among his signature moves.[13]

The matches. The story behind them.
Facing his partner for the inaugural title
In 2012, Bear Fukuda and Mototsugu Shimizu won a one-day tournament to become GWC tag champions. At the end of that year, they stood in opposite corners for the tournament final to crown SECRET BASE’s first openweight champion.
Fukuda won, defeating Shimizu with a vertical-drop Death Valley Bomb to become the promotion’s inaugural singles champion. He held the title he had won against his former championship partner until losing to Go.
When a tag championship was introduced, Fukuda again became an inaugural champion. He and Masato Shibata beat Go and Amigo Suzuki. The pair held the belts until Fukuda’s absence led to the title being vacated.
A career that began before the Bear name
He debuted in Toryumon and wrestled as Takayasu Fukuda and Mango Fukuda before becoming Bear Fukuda in El Dorado. He also worked in Los Salseros Japoneses with Takeshi Minamino and Ken45°. Before SECRET BASE established its championships, he had already won team titles with partners in several promotions.
Shinjuku FACE hosted his comeback match in 2018. In 2026, he appeared at SECRET BASE’s final show in the same venue and joined his fellow wrestlers for a group photograph in the ring. Shimizu made clear in his blog that this appearance was not a return to competing in matches.
