In the 2016 debut announcement, Hisamaru Tajima recalled that Yamashita had wanted to wrestle since his twenties and had kept pursuing it. The story is not just his late debut, but the years of effort before it.[17]
The matches. The story behind them.
Facing his trainer in his first match
Kingo Yamashita’s debut at 39 put him across the ring from Takeshi Minamino, who had coached him for several years. Mototsugu Shimizu partnered Minamino. Yamashita entered his first professional match alongside Amigo Suzuki.
According to Hisamaru Tajima’s comments for the debut announcement, Yamashita had wanted to become a wrestler since his twenties. He wrestled his first match in 2016 and joined SECRET BASE that November after an invitation from Bear Fukuda.
Choosing his partner for the first defence
His first singles championship came in 2021. A backdrop hold beat Amigo, the wrestler who had stood beside him on his debut. Afterwards, he named Black Peppers partner Nobuhiro Kaseda as his first challenger—the wrestler now known as Nobu Kaseda.
